Task 1A: Reviewing other profiles

Hey there....having looked at a few profiles its releiving to see that this whole Blogging thing isn't just a new and unknown source to me. The world of teachnology is fast growing and it's important to keep up to date with these features as a means of progressing. I feel that from looking at Katie Hurley's Blog the layout is good from an outsider who knows nothing about a BLOG, I particularly enjoyed reading her responsibilites that she has had to do in different jobs and roles. I feel that Lizzy Rowen's was a nice insight into her decision for choosing the stereo with her real passion and love of music that she feels that music plays such a big part of her life and I couldn't agree more.

1A: Proffesional Profile

Ok so here I go with my first Blog as writting my Proffesional CV and commenting on some positive features of other Blogs....

I began dancing at the age of 10 at Jason Theatre School in Broxbourne where I began weekly classes of Tap, Ballet and Modern. Intially I was there mereley as a hobby for a bit of fun and gave it up at the age of 15 to concentrate in my exams and was in the transission period of needing to decide what I wanted to do with my life. I made the deision from leaving school to go and study a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts and then go back to dance school where I would try and catch up on all of my exams. The 2 year gap I had to catch up on my exams was a difficult task to reach and was going to dance classes every night of the week alongside studying. However with detemination you can get anywhere in life and whilst at Jason Theatre School they had a fantastic set up where they would push those students wanting to work proffesionally to their maximum potential and would set you up on a student plan where you had one on one tutition and their discipline and training was of such a high standard that I wouldn't be where I am today without it.
After completing my course I then went onto training at Penny Meekings college where I would study to become a fully qualified dance teacher in Tap, Modern, Ballet and National. The ISTD had changed the rules and regulations of the exams and it took a little longer than expected where they had split the teaching qualification into two parts an FDI and CDE and including a heavy load of written work. I then began teaching at varies places in the Hertfordshire regions of varying schools, mainly in the Private sector. From the wide variety of schools I worked at I learnt a great deal on the positive and negative appraches to the running of a buisness and I feel that the main struggle nower days is kids are adverse to so many different clubs, classes and hobbies that to get them to a high standard with only once a week class ready for examinations can be difficult. However I learnt that working well as a team is vital as you may well be teaching the same children different classes and the need to communicate anmy issues that may arise is important.
